On 27 October 2026, the French government announced measures addressing student concerns over university admissions, overcrowded classes and education infrastructure. The package includes plans for 15,000 additional higher-education places by 2028, a phased limit of 28 students in 10th-grade classes and proposed loans for school-building investment; the total financing requirement was not disclosed.
The measures create demand for public-policy research, education planning and government project evaluation. HPC can support public institutions with budget analytics, resource-allocation models and digital monitoring systems.
