France Reports Sharp Increases in Oil and Gas Prices

On 27 October 2026, France’s national statistics agency INSEE reported that euro-denominated oil prices increased by 16.5% in September, while gas prices rose by 21.2% compared with August. Industrial raw-material prices also increased by 20.5% year-on-year, highlighting growing cost pressures across energy-intensive industries.
